DONATE

This department runs on you.

CVFD receives partial county funding - but partial doesn't cut it when you're outfitting a volunteer fire department from the ground up. The rest comes from this community.

CVFD apparatus damage
WHY IT MATTERS

One accident. Hundreds of thousands of dollars.

When one of our apparatus was struck and damaged, the reality set in fast. Replacing or repairing a fire truck isn't a line item in a county budget - it's a financial emergency for a volunteer department.

The county provides baseline funding, but it doesn't cover the full cost of safely outfitting a department of our size - turnout gear, SCBA units, vehicle maintenance, training, and capital replacements all fall on us.

That's where you come in. Every Fish Fry plate, every Car Show ticket, every direct donation fills the gap between what the county provides and what it actually takes to keep this department running.

WHAT IT COSTS

Volunteer doesn't mean free.

Every piece of equipment that goes on a call has a price tag - and every price tag ultimately comes back to the community.

$6,000
Set of structural turnout gear per firefighter
$6,500
SCBA breathing apparatus unit
$80,000
