  • CVFD’s largest water hauler. This truck can haul 3000 gallons of water and is essential to a rural fire department. Many calls we respond to are in areas where there are no hydrants, and water haulers like Tinder 55 can become a lifeline for those battling a brush fire.
The truck has a deployable temporary tank that can be set up at the fire location and refilled multiple times. The apparatus can also draft from rivers, tanks and swimming pools.
The pumping system is complex and our volunteers spend significant time training on how to operate in fire circumstances.

This Red Rig is the Swiss Army knife of the department, outfitted to respond in rescue situations and medical calls as well as minor fire suppression needs. The versatility of this apparatus allows CVFD to serve the community across many different scenarios.
